VLT = Visible Light Transmission. It is the percentage of visible light that passes through the lens. A lower percentage gives a darker view; a higher percentage gives a brighter view.
VLT describes lens brightness. Check the lens specifications for this variant.
This lens provides UV400 protection. Lower VLT gives a darker view; it does not mean stronger UV protection. Photochromic lenses retain UV400 protection in both lighter and darker states.

Does this lens provide UV400 protection?
Yes. All TINHAO lens types provide UV400 protection against UVA and UVB wavelengths up to 400 nm, including yellow-tint lenses and photochromic lenses in both lighter and darker states. VLT describes visible-light transmission; it does not measure UV protection.
What does polarization do?
Polarization helps reduce certain reflected glare from surfaces such as roads and water.
Is UV400 the same as polarization?
No. UV400 describes ultraviolet protection, while polarization addresses certain reflected glare.
