Enhanced Perceived Contrast
A yellow tint changes the color balance of incoming light and is designed to enhance perceived contrast in selected conditions.
VLT
VLT reference bands; each band is expanded for readability, not drawn to a linear scale.
VLT = Visible Light Transmission. It is the percentage of visible light that passes through the lens. A lower percentage gives a darker view; a higher percentage gives a brighter view.
VLT describes lens brightness. Check the lens specifications for this variant.
This lens provides UV400 protection. Lower VLT gives a darker view; it does not mean stronger UV protection. Photochromic lenses retain UV400 protection in both lighter and darker states.

LENS TECHNOLOGY
Light Yellow and Deep Yellow options combine polarized glare reduction with UV400 protection.
CORE FUNCTION
A yellow tint changes the color balance of incoming light and is designed to enhance perceived contrast in selected conditions.
The yellow tint and polarization are separate properties. Polarization helps reduce certain reflected glare even when the tint appears light.
Light Yellow, Deep Yellow and Yellow Photochromic serve different light conditions. Review the selected lens VLT and usage guidance.
MADE FOR
Deep Yellow is better suited to conditions with more available daylight.
Light Yellow is the higher-transmission option for low-light use.
Choose the listed tint and VLT that match the available light.
LENS FAQ
Yes. All TINHAO lens types provide UV400 protection against UVA and UVB wavelengths up to 400 nm, including yellow-tint lenses and photochromic lenses in both lighter and darker states. VLT describes visible-light transmission; it does not measure UV protection.
Choose Light Yellow for higher light transmission and lower-light conditions. Choose Deep Yellow when more daylight is available and greater light reduction is preferred.
Yes. Lens darkness and polarization are separate properties.
No. They do not create additional light or turn darkness into daylight. Review the listed VLT and usage guidance for the selected lens.
FIND YOUR FIT
Measure your glasses, not your face. Enter the full outside width and height of your prescription frames in millimetres, including the frame edges—not just the lenses.
Fit-Over: Both measurements must be within the listed maximum compatible dimensions.
Clip-On: Listed sizes are recommended glasses dimensions, not actual lens dimensions. Shape and clip position also affect coverage; size alone does not confirm fit.
