Responds to Outdoor UV
Photochromic lenses become darker as outdoor UV exposure increases and return lighter as UV exposure decreases.
VLT
VLT reference bands; each band is expanded for readability, not drawn to a linear scale.
VLT = Visible Light Transmission. It is the percentage of visible light that passes through the lens. A lower percentage gives a darker view; a higher percentage gives a brighter view.
VLT describes lens brightness. Check the lens specifications for this variant.
This lens provides UV400 protection. Lower VLT gives a darker view; it does not mean stronger UV protection. Photochromic lenses retain UV400 protection in both lighter and darker states.

Soft pouch, cleaning cloth, hard storage case and polarization test card.
Designed to attach easily to compatible prescription or reading glasses.
LENS TECHNOLOGY
Adaptive tint, polarized glare reduction and UV400 protection in both lighter and darker states.
CORE FUNCTION
Photochromic lenses become darker as outdoor UV exposure increases and return lighter as UV exposure decreases.
Polarization helps reduce reflected glare while the photochromic tint responds to changing outdoor UV.
The lighter starting tint allows more visible light through than a fixed dark daytime lens in non-intense light conditions.
MADE FOR
Polarized glare reduction with an adaptive outdoor tint.
Responds as outdoor UV conditions change through the day.
Designed for movement between different outdoor environments.
LENS FAQ
Yes. All TINHAO lens types provide UV400 protection against UVA and UVB wavelengths up to 400 nm, including yellow-tint lenses and photochromic lenses in both lighter and darker states. VLT describes visible-light transmission; it does not measure UV protection.
No. Photochromic describes the tint response to UV exposure. Polarization helps reduce certain reflected glare.
Many vehicle windshields block a significant amount of UV light, which can limit photochromic activation.
No. Tint depth and transition speed vary with UV intensity, temperature and environmental conditions.
FIND YOUR FIT
Measure your glasses, not your face. Enter the full outside width and height of your prescription frames in millimetres, including the frame edges—not just the lenses.
Fit-Over: Both measurements must be within the listed maximum compatible dimensions.
Clip-On: Listed sizes are recommended glasses dimensions, not actual lens dimensions. Shape and clip position also affect coverage; size alone does not confirm fit.
